 Introduce The Mountain WuYi

Mountain Wuyi is located in the northern Fujian province, China, and is used to be known for “green water and red hills” and “outstanding landscape being top in the Southeast China”, and is one of the first batch of national key scenic areas.

Mt. Wuyi features the mid-Asia tropical and original forest eco-system that is the most completely preserved, the most typical and of largest area in the same latitude worldwide. It is the natural paradise with green water and red hills: Circling hills and creeks, water flows around the hills, a sky tour landscape with blowing wind and drifting cloud, zigzag brooks, the long renowned tea culture. The collision of aesthetic and spiritualism gives birth to a fun world for leisure. Embark here for your trip seeking wild fun and begin your journey to enjoy leisure.

The beauty of Wuyi is about hills and peaks. It features the most typically developed Danxia landform among 200+ similar locations in China. The tectonism makes the wonderful peak and rocks here of drastically different forms, some peaks are towering to sky, some run for a couple of miles, some are hanging like a screen, some are rising proudly above others, some standing elegantly.

The spiritualism of Wuyi is about water. By the foot of Mt. Wuyi there are numerous clear springs, flying waterfalls and creeks. The water is murmuring like singing. Among all those the most attractive is no doubt the Creek Jiuqu (creek zigzag), that is 9.5km long, and is circling around and embraced by hills with its own style. The tourist may hire a bow shaped and ancient looking bamboo raft at the Village Star jetty to drift along the creek, and reward yourself with the picturesque hill-water view, you may relish the wonderful peaks by looking up and the crystal clear water view by looking down. “Hills stand at every turn of the creek and the creek is circling many peaks” is a vivid portrait of the Creek Jiuqu.

The historical culture of Mt. Wuyi can be traced back to 4000 years ago where the Chinese ancestors worked and reproduced here to gradually form the “Ancient ethnic Min” culture and the later “ethnic Min-Yue” culture that was at one corner of China and was unique at home and abroad, which lasted for 3000 years. After Song Dynasty (AD 1000), Mt. Wuyi had unalienable relation with Zhuxi’s neo Confucianism. Master Zhuxi came to Mt. Wuyi when he was 14 years old till he passed away at 71, he had studied, composed, lectured and lived at Mt. Wuyi for 50+ years. The neo Confucianism was budded, made mature and disseminated here.

The charisma of Mt. Wuyi is about tea. The worldly famous Dahongpao Tea grows at the steep cliff at the north side of the mother tree of Jiulongke (nine dragon nest). Mt. Wuyi features tea preparation technique of 1000+ years’ history. With the tea aroma, Wuyi Tea and Mt. Wuyi are both globally known. In December 1999, Mt. Wuyi was included into the World Heritage List by the UNESCO, and was named as the dual heritage for world nature and culture, and thus has become a mutual fortune of mankind.
